DEVELOPER PREPARES ANNEXATION MAP

Wickenburg, Arizona,: "M3 Companies are preparing the annexation map, for the City of Wickenburg" according to Steve Boyle of the Wickenburg Planning Department.

M3 Companies are doing the Wickenburg Ranch Estates tract home development (approved for 6 homes per acre)  near Highways 89 and 93 in Yavapai County. M3 Companies are also remodeling buildings in downtown Wickenburg.

Steve Boyle stated "that the time frame for the annexation process would begin after M3 companies  are finished with the map." Once the maps are done, begins a 30 day period. Copies would be sent to the Maricopa and Yavapai Board of Supervisors. In the last ten days of this period a public hearing must be held. At the end of the thirty days the City has twelve months to obtain 51% of the property owners signatures in order to get the annexation approved. The City hopes to start the process by August 1st.

In prior surveys, annexation has not been  popular with the majority of property owners.
