Wickenburg, Arizona:  The Wickenburg School Board approved a nearly 15 % increase in the rent charged to Wickenburg Christian Academy (WCA) for use of the old  MacLennan School .

In  early 2005, the Wickenburg School District advertised the rental of the school for four weeks and received only two inquiries about it.  A five year lease was drawn up for WCA with the verbal understanding that the second year would not have an increase. WCA has helped the school district by maintaining the buildings and generating income from the property.

WCA President Darel Stadel did discuss the matter with the school Board on Wednesday August 23. The increase will be 6% this year and 8% next year. This comes out to a 14.48% increase.
